Senator Kyle Janek to lead 2 Interim Committees
Senator Janek (R-Houston), a physician, whose 17th District covers parts of Galveston Island has been tapped to lead two critical committees during the interim until the 80th Legislature meets in January.
One committee will study the power of eminent domain in Texas which is a key issue for conservatives who believe that the power of eminent domain should only be used for the public interest and not for economic development. The other committee will study the medical peer review process.
