Attorney General Greg Abbott to speak at Galveston County GOP Lincoln Day Dinner, Thursday March 2nd at 6p

(Friendswood) – Galveston County Republican Party Chairman Kevin Corcoran issued the following statement regarding the party’s Lincoln Day dinner on March 2nd at 6 p.m. at the South Shore Harbour Hotel in League City.

"I am excited to announce that Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott has agreed to be the keynote speaker for the Lincoln Day Dinner.” “State Representative for Galveston County District 24, Larry Taylor will be the Master of Ceremonies and State Supreme Court Justice Don Willett will introduce General Abbott. Many other State and Local Elected Officials and candidates will be present.”

“Prior to his election as the 50th Attorney General of Texas, Greg Abbott served as a Justice on the Texas Supreme Court and as a State District Judge in Harris County. As the state’s chief law enforcement official, Attorney General Abbott has made protecting families and values the focus of his administration.”

“Held this year on the 213th birthday of General Sam Houston and Texas Independence Day, the Lincoln Day dinner is the annual fundraiser for the Galveston County Republican party. There will be a silent auction, great food, and good Republican fellowship. Also, every police chief in the county has been invited in appreciation of their public service and in honor of General Abbott being the state’s chief law enforcement official.”

“I encourage all Galveston County Republicans to show their support for the party by attending this event or donating an item to the silent auction.”

“Individual tickets are as low as $50 with VIP tickets for a private audience with Attorney General Abbott and table sponsorships are available. All proceeds go toward helping us build a stronger Republican party here in Galveston County to help get quality candidates elected in November.”
