Another shining example of the bias of the MSM (Mainstream Media)
Bryant Gumbel: Liberal Activist Masquerading as Impartial Journalist
The following is an excerpt of the text of Bryant Gumbel's monologue at the end of the February edition of HBO's Real Sports:
Finally, tonight, the Winter Games. Count me among those who don't like them and won't watch them ... Because they're so trying, maybe over the next three weeks we should all try too. Like, try not to be incredulous when someone attempts to link these games to those of the ancient Greeks who never heard of skating or skiing. So try not to laugh when someone says these are the world's greatest athletes, despite a paucity of blacks that makes the Winter Games look like a GOP convention. Try not to point out that something's not really a sport if a pseudo-athlete waits in what's called a kiss-and-cry area, while some panel of subjective judges decides who won ... So if only to hasten the arrival of the day they're done, when we can move on to March Madness - for God's sake, let the games begin."
Why is it that liberals can make racist remarks, on national TV, and the MSM says nothing about it? Where are Jesse Jackson and Hillary Clinton demanding an end to bigoted racist statements? How come 60 minutes and CNN are not in Gumbel's office right now demanding an apology?
Oh, I get it, as long as you are a liberal and you are talking about a Christian or the Republican Party, you can say whatever ignorant, racist, vitriol you want and it's OK.
I'd like to ask Gumbel a few questions:
How many black Secretary's of State have Democrats appointed??
How many black National Security Advisors have Democrats appointed?
Which party mirrors the conservative pro-life belief of most church going African Americans?
Did Bryant Gumbel even watch the last GOP convention? Does he even know how diverse GOP conventions are today?
Did he not see Houston's own Grammy award winning gospel artist Yolanda Adams performing at the last inauguration?
Does Gumbel know that Lynn Swan and Ken Blackwell are running for Governor in their respective states and that they are Republicans.
Does he know his cherished Democrat party didn't elect a black man to the US senate until LAST YEAR, while Republicans elected Edward Brooke in the sixtys?
But then again, liberals like Gumble and his MSM puppeteers don't let the facts get in the way of a good story.
