Ron Paul announces his bid for the Republican nomination for President

League City's Congressman, Dr. Ron Paul, has officially announced that he is running for the Republican nomination for President.

His campaign website is up and running and Ron intends to take advantage of the Texas Election Code law that allows him to run for President and run for re-election to his congressional seat at the same time.

Dr. Paul said he was running for the GOP presidential nomination to restore the Republican Party – which he said has become the party of big government – and return to a non-interventionist foreign policy.

If you want to help out with the campaign, you can donate or volunteer your time.

Dr. Paul will also be the keynote speaker at the Galveston County Republican Party Lincoln Day Dinner on April 13th at 6p at the Doyle Center in Texas City. Individual tickets are still available for $30 and a few tables are also available at the Galveston County Republican Party website.

Come by and hear the only presidential candidate from Texas speak to the issues that true conservatives care about.
